October Beauty Favorites 2015

October was a great month for trying new products. We're transitioning into cooler weather and routines are changing. For me, October flew by and I am super ready for November. Here are my beauty favorites for the month:

Sephora Teint Infusion Ethereal Natural Finish Foundation

There was not a single day this month when I was not wearing this foundation. At the end of September, I went to the mall to purchase a new ColorFX Custom Color Drops. I got there and was not really in the mood to spend $40+ so I looked at my other options. The Sephora Foundation caught my eyes because it had a dropper like the Color FX Custom Color Drops, but it was a lightweight foundation instead of a pigment, so I could use the product on it's own. It is so lightweight and has the most natural finish. It blends right into your skin and on me, it has a medium coverage. It does not have any flash back in photos, which is a big deal for me, and it lasts all day. The finish is kind of satin and is very moisturizing. I have oily skin, but I love to embrace that, so a moisturizing foundation does not scare me. This will definitely be a repurchase of mine!

Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder

I picked this product up the same day I purchased the Sephora Teint Infusion Ethereal Natural Finish Foundation. Almost everyone in the beauty world uses this stuff, and I felt like it was about time that I did too. Before, I was using my very inexpensive loose setting powder from NYC cosmetics. It did the job, but I didn't realize how much I was missing until I started using the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder. This powder creates a beautiful, seamless finish on the skin and who could complain about that? The powder is so soft and never gets cakey under the eyes. I like to pack this product on under my eyes and it prevents that area from creasing. Although it was a pricey number, I don't regret purchasing this one bit.

Tom Ford Lipstick in Crimson Nior

This beautiful lipstick was an anniversary gift from my sweet boyfriend. I had no idea he was getting me anything, so this was a huge surprise that he 1) got me this extremely luxurious lipstick and 2) he picked out an incredible color. Crimson Nior is a super wearable red that I like building up or wearing sheer. It is the most creamy and rich lipstick I own and so versatile. For example, on Monday I wore it to it's full intensity with a full face of makeup, but today on a light makeup day, I dotted it on and sheered it out with lip balm  for a rosy stained look. This lipstick formula lasts for so long and puts so much moisture into your lips for comfortable wear. I love this lipstick so much and I am so thankful my boyfriend got me it!

LORAC Pro + Fiber Mascara

As you may know, I don't try new mascaras ever. The Clinique High Impact Mascara stole my heart because of it's non irritating, comfortable and long lasting formula. But, I decided to be a little daring and try something new. The LORAC Pro + Fiber Mascara came in a free bag of deluxe samples from Ulta. I figured it wouldn't hurt to try it once so I gave it a shot. I've been tasting this mascara out all month but I knew it was incredible when I had a crappy day a week ago and cried most the day and took a 3 hour time (I'm like a child, I know). After an entire day where my makeup could have fallen apart on me, the mascara kept it's curl, thickness, and length. Honestly, seeing how this mascara performed that day made my day just a little better! So, if you are in the market for a new mascara, definitely give this one a try!

Tarte Maracuja Blush and Glow in Candlelight

I have hardly ever seen someone talk about this product, but I scored it for $13 and I have been really enjoying it. It is a liquid liuminator and has a little cream blush built in. I don't really use the blush, but I love the liquid highlight. I use it before my foundation, a technique I saw from the Kylie Jenner's App. I obviously apply more highlight after my foundation, but applying a liquid highlight underneath is a beautiful way to give a more glow from within look. It also comes with a ton of product! It is on sale on Tarte's website right now, so get it while you can!

DIY Green Tea and Coconut Oil Moisturizer

This is a DIY I saw on Hello Natural's blog. It looked super easy to do, and I love coconut oil on my skin so I figured I'd give it a shot. It really did not take long at all to make, and I just used a tea bag that I cut open to get the loose tea leaves out. I love the smell of this moisturizer and I have been using it day and night. My skin can start getting tight and dry this time of year, especially when it starts getting colder so I know this is going to be a lifesaver. My skin feels so smooth when I wake up after having this rest on my face all night. I also think this would make a great gift! I plan on making a bunch of these for my friends for the holidays because they are into skincare too and I think they would love this.
