I just finished my orientation for college which was an overnight thing. I don't care if it's just a one night school function, I need my makeup. I gathered the products that were important to me, and practical for my visit. What is practical for me, might not be for you and that's fine. These are just the products I brought and what I knew I was going to want to have with me.
Whether you're having a sleepover, going on a weekend trip with some friends, going to an overnight college orientation or whatever else where you need minimal, practical makeup, this will help guide the way.
BB Cream, Concealer, Setting Powder. Three very important things for when I need a quick and easy base.
My reason behind the Tarte Amazonian Clay BB Tinted Moisturizer was because it is super lightweight, you can apply it almost like a moisturizer if you'd like, it gives a little extra coverage but most of all, because it contains an SPF of 20. Many of the activities during my orientation were outside, and you should always protect your skin. BB Creams are also a lot quicker and easier to apply than foundation.
My Urban Decay Naked Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer is my true love. Words cannot describe how much I love this gem. It does exactly what it claims and is the best concealer I have ever had.
The Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder is just your standard powder that will ensure that your makeup stays in place.
My NARS Cheek Kit is amazing. It's small, compact, and offers a wearable bronzer, blush, and highlight. I'll use the bronzer to help sculpt out my face as well. I love that all my cheek essentials are all in this one small trio.
I bought this LORAC Pocket Pro Eyeshadow Palette at Ulta for $15. Money well spent, especially for travel purposes. The pigmentation is out of this world. So creamy and bendable. I don't have the LORAC Pro Palette, but after playing with these, I think I might need it. These eyeshadows are amazing, and this specific trio contains very wearable shades. A light inner corner shade, a lid shade, and a matte crease shade. The intensity can be built up or down on the matte shade, which is awesome if you want to use it as a dark brown eyeliner, or a soft crease shade.
I purchased this NYX Tinted Brow Mascara without high expectations. I figured I would just be able to use it as an eyebrow gel to set them in place after I use a brow pencil. BUT, this product lets me skip my eyebrow pencil or dip brow pomade. It darkens my brows and makes them look fuller. It also keeps them together all day. They look natural and it shortens my getting ready time. All I do is brush it through my brows and that's it. It also is one product instead of needing my pomade, a brush and an eyebrow gel.
- Real Techniques Powder Brush: I obviously use this brush as my powder brush to set all my makeup.
- Real Techniques Buffing Brush: This brush is the one I used to buff in my Tinted Moisturizer and blend in my concealer. This brush gives me a flawless finish and I love it.
- Coastal Scents BR-C-N51: Coastal Scents Brushes are so affordable and work amazingly. I used this brush for eyeshadow on my lid.
- Coastal Scents BR-250: This brush I used to blend my eyeshadow out and also worked in the matte brown shade with this.
- No Name Blush Brush From Amazon: This brush came with a set I bought on Amazon. I don't use many of the other brushes, but this is my favorite brush for highlighting, apply blush, and sometimes even contour when I want a very precise look.
This travel size Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray is really useful. It is small, so ideal for traveling, but it also works amazingly. It keeps your makeup in place no matter what and is also a nice finishing touch to any makeup look because it just makes your face look refreshed and polished. You can be confident in your look lasting whenever you use this product.
All you need to do is add your favorite mascara and you've got a complete face in a small makeup bag!
