My July Favorites

It's hard to believe my summer is almost over. I am so nervous to start my first year of college, but super excited to finish up my back to school shopping. I wasn't sure if I should just share my makeup favorites for the month of July, but I decided to share all my favorites. Hair, body, makeup, and a book.

Like my new marble background? I made it myself!

Batiste Dry Shampoo. I've been eyeing this product for a while, but I never wanted to spend the extra like $5 on something I could just get for $3 (I sound so cheap). I went to TJ Maxx and they had TONS of these for about $6. I figured I'd finally try it because I didn't think I could get it cheaper than that. Let me tell you, this is the best dry shampoo I have ever tried. I could go days without washing my hair and it still won't feel gross. The dry shampoos I've tried in the past always left my hair feeling heavy, full of product, and never clean. The Batiste Dry Shampoo absorbs all the oil in my hair while leaving it feeling clean. Seriously, you need this.

American Apparel Floral Scrunchie. I've been loving scrunchies lately. They are a lot cuter than your average hair-tie, and also less damaging. The scrunchie I got from American Apparel holds my hair up really well and I love the pattern of it. When I'm going on 3rd day hair, I love to put it up with this because it's like a cute hair accessory and gets my hair out of my face.

NYX HD Finishing Powder in Banana. I've been using this to set my under eye concealer everyday. I love it. It helps brighten the area just a little more which means I can use less concealer. I like using it with my Urban Decay Naked Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop. This highlight is a game changer. It is the best highlight on the planet. Whenever I am wearing a different highlight, I still feel the need to put Champagne Pop over it. It gives the most amazing, intense glow to the skin. I still love my MAC Soft and Gentle but honestly after using Champagne Pop, I feel like Soft and Gentle is kind of chunky. It does not go on nearly as smooth and nice. I adore this highlight and Jaclyn Hill. Because of Champagne Pop, I need to get Opal and Moonstone (after I buy my backup Champagne Pop).

Up & Up Hand Sanitizer in Crisp Apple. I feel like this is a strange favorite, but I love apple fragranced things. Bath and Body Works made the most amazing smelling apple scent called Fresh Market Apple. I loved this scent. Then, they discontinued it. I picked up the Up & Up Crisp Apple and it smells really good! Maybe not as good, but I'll still take it. I love having clean, nice smelling hands.

Bath and Body Works Beautiful Day Lotion. Even though it is summertime, I still like to apply lotion to keep my skin looking fresh and nice. Whenever I wear Beautiful Day, I get so many compliments, especially from boys (not that that's important). Beautiful Day is one of my favorite scents from Bath and Body Works. It smells like apples and spring. I'm not very good with describing scents, but this one smells amazing! The lotion is not super moisturizing, but I prefer that in the summer.

Dark Places by Gillian Flynn. I couldn't put this book down. I read almost the entire thing on a 10 hour car ride. I loved Gone Girl, but I think I love Dark Places more. It was mysterious, interesting, a little frightening, and written so well. I'm looking forward to seeing the movie this month! The casting seems a bit strange to me, but there are still amazing actors and actresses in the film so hopefully it pulls together nicely.

I hope you liked my favorites for the month of July! What were your favorites? Also, do you have any book recommendations for me that are similar to Dark Places?
