Splurging on makeup can be difficult for someone who cannot afford it or does not see the purpose in having buckets of expensive cosmetics. Instead of buying tons of expensive products just to find you only use a few, I basically did that for you! I'm a huge makeup buyer, but when it comes down to it, I am definitely not using everything in my collection. I wanted to put together a list of high end or luxury products that are irreplaceable by inexpensive brands. Here it is:
Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow Palette. I was on the fence about purchasing this because I had already owned the Naked 1 and 2 at the time. But, my addiction got the best of me. I'm glad I listened to myself because I love this palette. You can create so many more versatile looks, it comes with more different shadows, all of them perform amazingly, and they smell like chocolate. If you are torn between any of the Naked palettes by Urban Decay and this Chocolate Palette, get the Chocolate Palette. The range of mattes it comes with is amazing, and the shimmers are incredible. Everything is so creamy and blendable. You can even use the two larger highlighting shades as cheek highlighters. I pick this palette over Urban Decay any day. $49
MAC Matte Lipsticks. I love all of MAC's lipsticks, but I think they do mattes so well. I have a difficult time with other matte lipsticks making me lips look cracked or being super uncomfortable. MAC manages to make their matte lipsticks extremely comfortable and creamy. After a long wear time on these lipsticks, they still look great and my lips aren't suffering. $17
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfectors. I only own Champagne Pop (limited edition), but I can easily tell you the formula of these highlighters knocks out all the others on the market. The texture is the softest thing I have ever felt. Since the texture is so soft, it blends onto the skin like a dream and does not have chunky glitter or pieces like other highlighters might have. Once I feel like splurging again, I'm going to buy Moonstone and Opal. The Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector is hands down my favorite highlight out there, and if you are in the market for a good one, look no further. $38
Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer. I have always had a difficult time with my concealer creasing or fading throughout the day. I figured this was something I just had to deal with because no concealer had what I was looking for. Then, Urban Decay worked their magic and gave us this incredible product. I am on my third tube of this and it is an all time favorite. If someone is looking for a concealer, I recommend this one without hesitation. It is full coverage but not thick at all so it is very comfortable on the skin. It blends out so easily and never creases on me. There is not a single concealer out there as good as this one. $28
Tarte 12-Hour Amazonian Clay Blush. I have raved about these blushes over and over again but there is seriously not a blush out there that compares. The 12 hour claim is 100% the truth and these blushes are so pigmented and blendable. They last forever too. They do not kick up powder like most blushes do, and they look so fresh and natural when applied. My sister, who is very abusive with her makeup, takes one of my Amazonian Clay Blushes almost everyday. She can go through an entire bottle of foundation in less than a month, but she has not even hit pan on the blush. That is with her using it all the time and me using it most of the time. These blushes are amazing. My personal favorite is Glisten, a peachy pink with gold shimmer. $28
MAC Extra Demention Eyeshadow in Sweet Heat. This does not have to be everyone's cup of tea, but if you are wanting a super metallic, glamorous shadow, this is the one for you. It is so pigmented and metallic. I love wearing it all over the lid with a matte shadow blended in the crease. It is an easy, glam look that does not take much effort. The reason why I am including this shadow in here is because I don't have any shadow like it. Nothing is as metallic and wonderful as this one. $20
I am sure this one be the last list I have on high end products, but all these babies I shared with you guys today are products that I really do swear by. I hope this list helps you decide what you are going to splurge on!
