Philosophy Take A Deep Breath Cushion Foundation and Color For Cheeks Review

I bought this foundation and blush on a whim during a visit to Ulta (how many times have you heard that one, am I right). Ulta had one of those free perks when you buy two Philosophy items, so that caught my eye. I knew I didn't need anymore skincare items, so I gave their makeup a shot. Cushion foundations have been pretty popular lately, so I felt like trying the Philosophy Take A Deep Breath Cushion Foundation and knew I needed a second item so I picked up the Philosophy Take A Deep Breath Cushion Color For Cheeks. I got the shade 6 and went with 6.5 for the blush. I was glad the blush shades correlated with the foundation shades, it made it easy to pick the best color for my skin tone.

To apply the Philosophy Take A Deep Breath Cushion Foundation I used the Real Techniques Buffing Brush. I hardly used any product and was able to give myself a nice medium coverage. It smelt a bit like sunscreen, but that did not bother me because of it's high SPF. It felt super light on the skin and set nicely. I tested the foundation on a day where I was going to be busy from 7AM to 11PM. Pretty much the ultimate test with humid weather, long wearing time and no touch ups. At the end of the day I was more than pleasantly surprised to see my blush as vibrant as the initial application and my foundation still intact with no creasing around my smile lines. I got a bit oily by the end of the day, but that is what is expected with a light layer of setting powder and no touch ups.

The Philosophy Take A Deep Breath Cushion Color For Cheeks is just as amazing as the foundation. To apply the blush I used the Real Techniques Duo-Fiber Contour Brush and I only needed to use the smallest amount of product. A little bit goes a long way. The blush lasted all day and did not even lose any of it's color throughout the day. I believe this might be the longest wearing blush in my collection. Since it is a liquid blush, it feels super fresh on the skin and looks natural too. I love that the numbers for the blush correlate with the foundation numbers to help pick the most natural shade for your skin color.

I haven't tried many other cushion foundations, but I know they are a super trendy product right now. I am interested in trying them from other brands, or even making my own! But, if you are in the market, then I highly recommend giving the Philosophy Take A Deep Breath Cushion Foundation and the Philosophy Take A Deep Breath Cushion Color For Cheeks a chance. Long lasting, beautiful coverage, high SPF, and easy application are all worthy benefits of these two products.
