MAC Lipsticks and Eyeshadows

For my 18th birthday one of my friends got me a MAC lipstick and it’s one of my most worn lipsticks to this day. I think a lipstick is a great gift and personal because you have to pick out the color you think would look best on the person. MAC lipsticks are $17, so not too expensive but definitely not a cheap looking gift. You can always pair the lipstick with an inexpensive lip balm like from Burt’s Bees. Another good gift would be a MAC eyeshadow. Some great eyeshadows that look good on everyone would be All That Glitters, Satin Taupe, Woodwinked, and Naked Lunch. You can pair the eyeshadow with an eyeshadow brush (Coastal Scents have some great, inexpensive brushes).

LORAC Pocket PRO Palette

This trio is adorable and has the 3 ideal eyeshadow shades: a shimmering lid shade, a shimmering dark shade, and a dark matte brown. For $18 you get a complete eye look in a sleek and cute palette. This would be perfect for that girl who travels a lot, a girl who wants to expand her makeup collection, and the girl who is a makeup collector. You could pair this with an eyeshadow brush or eyeshadow primer.

Bath and Body Works Candles

Candles are a great and thoughtful gift, especially for mothers, grandma's or your friends who may have just moved into a new place. Bath and Body Works candles this time of year smell so amazing and there is definitely a scent for everyone. My personal favorites include Twisted Peppermint, Tis' The Season, and Vanilla Bean Noel. They are $22.50 each, but they always have sales this time of year. Just the other day they had all their candles for $8.50! Stay on the lookout for sales and coupons. I would pair these candles with a nice box of matches (I found a cute box at the Bath and Body Works store, but can’t find online) or a lighter.

Victoria’s Secret Cozy Slippers

These slippers for $25 and make a sweet gift for almost every girl in your life. Especially since they come from Victoria’s Secret, they look like a nice quality gift. You can pair these slippers with a box of hot chocolate, or maybe a cute spa package (you can find tons of spa in a mason jar ideas on Pinterest)

Beauty Blender

The beauty blender is one of the best makeup tools in the universe. It is so versatile, and nothing beats the original. Some people have a hard time spending $20 on a sponge, but that’s why it would make a great gift. It’s something that a lot of people wouldn’t buy for themselves, but that everyone wants. It is perfect for everyone, no matter what stage of makeup they are in. You can pair this with one of their Solid Cleanses or an additional set of brushes.

Plum Paper Planners

Planners are a super useful gift and are great for this time of year because everyone is getting a fresh new start with New Years. With the Plum Paper Planners, you can pick which month to start on, so January would be a good one. These are great for moms, teachers, students, anyone with a busy schedule. I love these specific planners because they are super customizable, and easy to write in. You can get a 6 month planner for $16, or one year for $31. I think 6 months would be a good start to see how they like planning, and they can purchase a year if they end up loving it. Or, that could be your special gift to them each year, a new planner. You can pair this gift with planning stickers or a nice pen set. I have a review of the Plum Paper Planner on my blog, so check that out!

Mieroglyphs Bracelets

This is something that is a little more meaningful and probably a good gift if you are in a serious relationship with someone or maybe want to get one of your family members something nice. These bracelets come with inspirational quotes on the inside that you can customize or leave as is. The bracelets are unisex and there are more masculine colors and more feminine colors. I think a good idea for these bracelets if you wanted to customize them would be to put an anniversary date on the inside or a sweet note that they can read. Without a coupon code, these bracelets are $29.99, but Mieroglyphs reached out to me and asked if I wanted to create a 20% off coupon for my readers. If you use the coupon code FBL20, then you get 20% off your entire purchase, which would make the bracelets $24. I bought some myself and shipping was only $3 which is awesome. Check out my review on them before you purchase!

I want to quickly remind you of Ebates. Ebates is a way to get cash back on your online purchases. It is completely free and definitely works! So far I have received over $90 back on my online purchases. I wish I knew about it sooner! Sign up for Ebates* right now before you do any of your holiday gift shopping.

Also, HauteLook* is a great way to get high end brand items at a super discounted price. Last year, I got my boyfriend a name brand leather jacket worth over $300 for only a $80. And, it is a legit site too, it is ran by Nordstrom. They sell jewelry, clothing, shoes, makeup, fragrances, for super inexpensive. I highly recommend you check them out for your holiday shopping as well.

Clinique’s Great Skin Kit To Go

This kit comes with four travel sized skin care products for men. This is perfect for that guy in your life who likes staying well groomed and having clear skin. It comes with a face wash, scrub, mattifying moisturizer and an eye cream. Clinique makes great products and their skincare line is consistently good. It is just under $20 and I think it would be nice as a gift on it’s own.

NFL Leather Wallet

I bought this wallet for my little brother a few years ago and he still loves it. The wallet price varies depending on what team you buy, but they are all around $20. This wallet would be a great gift for someone who loves sports and a specific team in particular. When in doubt, a sports team gift is usually the way to go. My dad and brother love the Redskins (a difficult team to love, sadly) so getting a Redskins themed gift is usually my go-to. A wallet is good because it is practical and usable.

Gooseneck iPad/iPhone Mount

This is a really useful item for those chefs, or someone who just likes watching things on their iPads and iPhones. Someone can mount this on the side of a kitchen counter for easy access to a recipe, or they can mount it to a coffee table for easy video viewing. This is just under $22 on Amazon and I think it would make a really cool and useful gift for anyone who is constantly using their phone.

Game of Thrones Dothraki Living Language

Trust me, anyone who is a Game of Thrones fan would love to own this book. Dothraki is a language spoken by the Dothraki in Game of Thrones. This book teaches you how to speak the language and includes an hour long CD with more information. This book is so cool and would be an awesome gift for that Game of Thrones fan in your life, and trust me, you have one.

Urban Outfitters Classic Beanie

Beanies are a great gift and look really cute on boys. Urban Outfitters has nice quality beanies for usually inexpensive. Currently, they are on sale for $10 which is way cheap, but usually they are a little more expensive. Most of the time though, they do have a BOGO for a certain price. I put this in the $25 of less gift guide because you gotta get two of them! Pick out two colors for that guy in your life and you got a nice gift for $20.

Weird Soda Sample 6 Pack

Boys love trying weird things. That’s why this weird soda sampler pack would be a super funny and interesting gift for a guy. Bacon, cookie dough, buffalo chicken wings, ranch… Some of them sound gross, but a boy will sure try them! It would be a fun experience for him and he’ll appreciate the weirdness. This sampler pack is a little less than $17 and you can buy them individually if you just want to try a few. This website has tons of cool stuff so you are bound to find something.

Nissan Beanie

Obviously, you don't need to go with Nissan, but this would be a perfect gift for that car loving boy in your life! If you go on any car dealership's website, they will have a section where you can shop apparel or desk supplies, things of that nature. This beanie on the Nissan Online Company Store is only $8.25, and is perfect for the winter time. I'm getting one for my boyfriend this season, and I know he'll love wearing it when he goes to work on cars during those cold winter mornings.

Bacon Cotton Candy

A little strange, but what boy doesn't like eating strange things? This gift is perfect for your lover of bacon, lover of food, lover of candy, lover of eating weird things. This bag of Bacon Cotton Candy costs just under $3 and I think it would be great as a small thoughtful gift, as a stocking stuffer, or paired with other strange bacon flavored things. This website is tons of bacon flavored candy, and for cheap too!

Bic Tech 2 in 1 Retractable Ballpoint Pen and Stylus

This would be a cool gift for your techie guy friend. It would be great for when he’s copying down notes from a tablet or his phone, he wouldn’t have to switch from finger to pen. It is just under $8 and would be nice by itself or paired with a nice notebook. I am definitely getting my boyfriend one of these pens for the holidays because I know he’d love something like this. He has a touch screen computer, and it would make homework so much easier and faster with one of these guys.

Hallmark Star Wars Special Edition Blown Glass Ornaments

Star Wars is huge this year with the release of their new movie this season, so how festive would be be to get someone a Star Wars themed gift! These ornaments would be good for maybe your dad or as a housewarming gift for someone who just got a new place and they are just under $10. As another option for a Star Wars gift, I got my dad these Star Wars Lightsaber Chopsticks for just under $15 and he thought these were the coolest things. That would be a great gift for someone who love sushi and Star Wars!

Minimergency Kit For Him

This would be a good gift for that guy in your life that likes to keep a well groomed persona. It comes with things like dental floss, stain remover, a mini lip balm, breath freshener, nail clippers, shoe shine, and more. Plus it comes in a mini mustache tin to add some masculinity. It is small and pocket sized so perfect for on-the-go. I think a lot of men would appreciate a small gift like this and it is only $14.

Credit Card with 9 Tools

Perfect for your survivalist, handyman, or someone who likes interesting conversation starters. This small credit card sized tool comes with 9 useful tools including a small switchblade, tweezers, compass, magnifying glass, combination opener, a ruler, screwdriver, and a couple more things. The card fits perfectly in your wallet and it is only $10 on Amazon. I think this would be a cool and interesting gift.

Enchanted Forest Adult Coloring Book

Adult coloring books are super popular right now, and Target carries a great selection of them. For just under $15 you get a beautiful coloring book with very detailed coloring pages. This is great for your friend who loves art, or who gets stressed out easily. Many people say these coloring books help with anxiety and stress, so I picked one up myself. So far I am liking it! You can even pair this gift with some coloring pencils for just under $4.

Real Techniques Eyeshadow Brush Starter Set

Real Techniques puts out super high quality brushes at an affordable price point. For a lover of makeup or someone just starting out, this brush set would be super appreciated. This set is just under $12 at Target. Everybody uses Real Technique brushes, I personally think they are the best quality out there. Makeup brushes are one of those things that nobody can have too much of, so don't worry if you think she already has brushes. This brush set would be perfect to pair with a small eyeshadow palette too!

Yaktrax Cozy Cabin Socks

I love these socks for the winter time and I think it would make a super thoughtful gift for the holidays. These socks are super high quality, ridiculously soft and keep my feet so warm. For just under $13 I think they would make great stocking stuffers or a cute gift paired with an inexpensive box of hot chocolate. Dicks Sporting Goods usually has these socks for BOGO Free, so get a matching pair for yourself and your friend!

Bit Beauty Mix and Mingle Lipstick

I recently bought this lipstick in the shade Latte/Cortado and I love it. I never tried anything from Bite Beauty before and for $14 I got to try two different shades. This Mix and Mingle duo would make a cute stocking stuffer or great for someone who loves lipstick and trying different brands. Bite Beauty is a luxury brand, so it would make a really nice gift.

Bath and Body Works Travel Treats Gift Kit

Bath and Body Works consistently puts out great gift sets year long, so they are always one of my go-tos for the holiday season. People of all ages like a good set from Bath and Body Works because their products smell so good and are nice quality. During the winter season, they put out their winter scents and Vanilla Bean Noel is to die for. It smells delicious! So does their Winter Candy Apple. This Travel Treats Gift Kit comes in many different sets and includes a travel sized Body Spray, travel sized Body Lotion, a hand sanitizer, and a cute glitter gift bag for $10.

Essie Holiday Mini Nail Color Kit

I recently reviewed the Essie Holiday Mini Nail Color Kit on my blog and it includes swatches, so you should check it out! But, I totally think this would make a super nice gift for anyone. The shades are festive and Essie is a great quality brand. The kit at Target is just under $13, comes with 4 mini nail polishes, and adorable packaging. I think this gift would be great on it's own, or paired with some nail polish remover, cotton balls, and a nail file for a cute little pamper gift set.

The Southern Christmas Show: Charlotte, NC

Yesterday I went to the Southern Christmas Show in Charlotte, NC. The Southern Christmas Show is an event where tons of vendors from all over sell winter themed decor, clothing, and gifts. Many of the items are handmade and one of a kind. There was also super yummy food and some short skits that were performed. Also, tree decorating contests and miniature doll house displays (my favorite). Here are some of  the pictures I took at the Southern Christmas Show:

The detail in this miniature scene is so incredible!
